"Spring Book",

Moscow, Knebel publishing house, 1920s

This book was my last out of five thesis projects. It had its own pecularities like all of the other four projects. This book's pages were quite thick with a good PH level, however, the main damage was the wrong sewing. The threads were located in a way which caused paper damage every time the book was opened. I increased the PH level removing the dirt and also removing some of the old library stamps, which according to the library practice do not carry any significance and do not need to be left as a documentation directly on the book. However, the notes on the top of the left page were left as significat marks. I resewed the book and added a conservation book bind.

This book has paper covers with lithographs on the front and on the back. Major damages were losses of paper in the spine of the book, incorrect sewing, dirt and ink library stamps on the pages.
