Before the specialization in Conservation of Books and Graphics has opened in my BA program, I studied conservation of frescos. For my internship I have entered a restoration project on its early stages of the. I have learned to identify the techniques for taking off the layers of paint to uncover the original design and how to strengthen the original layer of paint.

​The palace of the Grand Duke Alexey Alexandrovich was redesigned by the architect M. E. Messmacher who had to replan the building to the needs of the Duke. The interiors were created in eclectic style and the desciptions with images of some rooms is possible to find online, however, the images of the cellar (on the left) are not searchable online.
