Spring 2012, MFA project

Cross Currents is a group project created in collaboration with Exhibition Design classmates, Museum Education and Communication students. We worked with a real collection of Oceanic objects from the Penn Museum.



Mission:
Through exploration of traditional Oceanic practices of navigation, exchange, and fishing, visitors will become more aware of their own relationships with, and impact on the environment. Inspired by the oceanic motives and geographical location of Oceanic islands, we wanted to create flow in our exhibit. Make it look contemporary but immersive into the environment. The people’s relationships with the environment that wanted to highlight mirrored in green-blue-beije color palette.
