Circus. Visceral Nature, a 3-month project on the topic related to Philadelphia and its history - circus. The exhibition was created for the Rosenwalt-Wolf Gallery at the University of the Arts.
Circus. Visceral Nature is about the first modern circus in Philadelphia and its present-day legacies. This exhibit showcases the history of first modern circus, today’s local aerial circus movement and explores the physical ability of human’s body.
Mission:
Through the story of Circus Arts brought to Philadelphia by John Ricketts, visitors will explore America's introduction to a new form of entertainment, its evolvement, and contemporary local circus movement.
